Band Bio
Eminent Remains is a metal band from southeast Kansas whose style could best be described as “doom-laden death metal with traditional metal roots.” There’s a strong old school vibe to the music, though it doesn’t sound outdated or passé. In short, if you mix Witchcraft, Carcass, Six Feet Under, Candlemass and Bloodbath, you’re on the right track to accurately describing the band’s sound.
Formed in the summer of 2010 from the ashes of another band, Eminent Remains wasted no time hammering out a handful of original songs that would be both intense and memorable. Shortly thereafter, Bull Coots was brought in to replace the former vocalist. With the new line-up in place, the band expanded its set list and made several tracks available online, where they garnered a great deal of praise. The live shows that followed were similarly well received, leading to the development of a respectable fan following.
Eminent Remains released their self-titled debut CD in 2011.
Bull Coots parted ways with the band in June 2012.
